Ingredients:

  • 1 lb lean ground beef (90/10)
  • 3 cloves fresh garlic, minced
  • 1 tbsp fresh ginger, grated
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 1/2 cup low-sodium soy sauce
  • 2 tbsp brown sugar
  • 2 tbsp hoisin sauce
  • 1 tsp sesame oil
  • 1/2 tsp red pepper flakes
  • 1 tbsp cornstarch
  • 2 tbsp water
  • 8 oz linguine or ramen noodles
  • 3 stalks green onions, sliced
  • 1 tsp sesame seeds

Instructions:

  1. Boil a pot of salted water and cook the noodles according to the package directions. Drain and set aside.
  2. Heat olive oil in a large skillet or wok over medium-high heat. Add the ground beef, breaking it apart with a spatula, and cook until browned and no longer pink.
  3. Stir in the minced garlic and grated ginger; sauté for 60–90 seconds until fragrant.
  4. In a small bowl, whisk together soy sauce, brown sugar, hoisin, sesame oil, and red pepper flakes. Mix in the cornstarch and water to create a slurry.
  5. Pour the sauce mixture into the skillet and stir constantly for 2-3 minutes until the sauce thickens into a glossy glaze.
  6. Toss the cooked noodles into the skillet, folding gently until evenly coated. Garnish with sliced green onions and sesame seeds.
