Ingredients:
- 4 oz full-fat cream cheese, softened
- 1 tbsp unsalted butter
- 1/4 tsp pure vanilla extract
- 1/4 cup fruit jelly or preserves
- 4 slices bread
Instructions:
- Heat the butter in a skillet over medium heat. Toast the bread slices for about 1 minute per side until they are pale gold to create a crisp seal.
- In a small bowl, combine the softened cream cheese and vanilla extract. Stir vigorously until the texture is smooth and airy.
- Spread a generous, edge-to-edge layer of the cream cheese mixture onto two of the toasted slices.
- Dollop the jelly onto the center of the cream cheese and spread outward, leaving a tiny margin at the edges to prevent leaking.
- Close the sandwiches and slice diagonally.
