Ingredients:

  • 1 (3.4 oz) package instant vanilla pudding mix (96g)
  • 2 cups (473 ml) cold milk, whole or 2% recommended
  • 1/2 cup (113g) sour cream (optional)
  • 3 medium ripe bananas, sliced (approx. 450g)
  • 1 tablespoon (15 ml) lemon juice
  • 1 (11 oz) box Nilla Wafers (approx. 312g), or similar vanilla wafers, crushed
  • 6 individual snack-sized bags of Nilla Wafers or similar

Instructions:

  1. Whisk together the instant pudding mix and cold milk in a medium bowl until smooth. Stir in sour cream (if using). Let stand for 5 minutes to thicken slightly.
  2. Slice the bananas and toss them gently with lemon juice to prevent browning.
  3. Place Nilla Wafers in a ziplock bag and crush them with a rolling pin until coarsely crumbled.
  4. Gently open each snack-sized bag of wafers. Layer in the following order: pudding, banana slices, crushed wafers. Repeat layers, finishing with a layer of crushed wafers on top.
  5. For best results, refrigerate the assembled walking banana pudding for at least 30 minutes to allow the flavors to meld.
  6. Enjoy straight from the bag!
