Ingredients:

  • 9 cups (225g) Rice Chex, Corn Chex, or Wheat Chex cereal
  • 1 cup (170g) semi-sweet chocolate chips
  • ½ cup (128g) creamy peanut butter
  • ¼ cup (57g) unsalted butter, cut into cubes
  • 1 teaspoon (5ml) vanilla extract
  • 1 ½ cups (170g) powdered sugar
  • ½ cup (85g) festive sprinkles (optional)

Instructions:

  1. Pour Chex cereal into the large mixing bowl.
  2. In the microwave-safe bowl, combine chocolate chips, peanut butter, and butter. Microwave in 30-second intervals, stirring between each, until completely melted and smooth.
  3. Stir in the vanilla extract into the melted chocolate mixture.
  4. Pour the melted chocolate mixture over the Chex cereal and gently stir until evenly coated.
  5. Place powdered sugar into the large resealable bag. Add the coated cereal to the bag, seal it tightly, and shake vigorously until the cereal is completely coated in powdered sugar.
  6. Spread the Reindeer Chow onto a baking sheet lined with parchment paper (optional) or onto a clean surface. Let it cool and set for at least 30 minutes, or until the chocolate is firm.
  7. Add Sprinkles on top if desired
  8. Break the Reindeer Chow into smaller pieces and serve. Store in an airtight container.
