Ingredients:
- 2 cups (250g) all-purpose flour
- 3/4 cup (180ml) warm water
- 2 tsp (7g) instant yeast
- 1 tsp (6g) salt
- 1 tbsp (15ml) olive oil
- 1/2 cup (120ml) flatbread pizza sauce
- 1 1/2 cups (170g) shredded mozzarella cheese
- 4 oz (113g) grilled chicken breast
- 1 tbsp (15ml) olive oil
- 1/2 tsp (3g) garlic powder
- Fresh basil leaves
Instructions:
- In a large bowl, whisk together the all-purpose flour, instant yeast, and salt.
- Stir in the warm water and 1 tablespoon of olive oil until a shaggy dough forms.
- Turn the dough onto a floured surface and knead for 3-5 minutes until smooth and tacky.
- Divide the dough into two equal balls and use a rolling pin to flatten each into a thin oval, approximately 1/4 inch thick.
- Preheat the oven to 450°F (230°C).
- Place the rolled-out doughs on a parchment-lined baking sheet and bake for 5-7 minutes until the dough sets and puffs slightly.
- Remove from the oven and lightly brush the edges with olive oil and a sprinkle of garlic powder.
- Spread a thin layer of pizza sauce over the pre-baked base, leaving a small border for the crust.
- Evenly distribute the shredded mozzarella and grilled chicken breast over the sauce.
- Return to the oven for 7-10 minutes until the cheese is bubbling and the edges are deep golden brown.
- Garnish with fresh basil leaves before serving.
