Ingredients:
- 1/4 cup Buttermilk Powder (Skim or Whole)
- 2 tablespoons Dried Parsley Flakes
- 1 tablespoon Dried Dill Weed
- 1 tablespoon Dried Chives
- 1 tablespoon Fine Sea Salt
- 1 tablespoon Garlic Powder
- 1 tablespoon Onion Powder
- 1 teaspoon Freshly Ground Black Pepper
- 1/2 teaspoon Dried Celery Seed
Instructions:
- Measure all listed ingredients precisely. Use level measurements, particularly for the salts and powders. Ensure all dried herbs are fresh for maximum flavour impact.
- In a small mixing bowl, add the buttermilk powder first, followed by the salt, pepper, garlic powder, onion powder, dried parsley, dill weed, chives, and celery seed.
- Using a small whisk or spoon, gently and thoroughly mix all the ingredients together. Continue whisking for at least 30–60 seconds until the white buttermilk powder and the green herbs are completely uniform throughout the blend.
- Optional Step: If you prefer a smooth seasoning (excellent for dips), transfer the entire mix to a clean spice grinder. Pulse 2–3 times briefly to break down the herb flakes into a finer powder.
- Transfer the prepared Ranch Seasoning Mix immediately into a clean, airtight glass jar. Seal tightly and label with the date.
- Allow the seasoning mix to rest for at least 24 hours before using. This allows the various flavours (especially the alliums) to marry properly, resulting in a deeper, more cohesive taste.
