Ingredients:
- 2 slices (60g) whole grain bread
- 2 tbsp (32g) peanut butter
- 1 tbsp (15g) fruit preserves
- 1 tsp (5g) chia seeds
- 1 tsp (5g) honey
Instructions:
- Lay two slices of bread side-by-side on a cutting board.
- Spread 1 tbsp (16g) of peanut butter onto each slice, covering the bread all the way to the crusts to create a moisture seal.
- Apply fruit preserves to only one of the peanut-butter-coated slices, concentrating the filling in the center and leaving a 1/2-inch border of peanut butter around the edges.
- Sprinkle chia seeds and drizzle honey over the filling for added texture and flavor.
- Invert the second slice of bread onto the filling and press down firmly but gently to bond the layers.
- Slice the sandwich diagonally and wrap tightly in parchment paper.
