Ingredients:

  • 2 slices (60g) whole grain bread
  • 2 tbsp (32g) peanut butter
  • 1 tbsp (15g) fruit preserves
  • 1 tsp (5g) chia seeds
  • 1 tsp (5g) honey

Instructions:

  1. Lay two slices of bread side-by-side on a cutting board.
  2. Spread 1 tbsp (16g) of peanut butter onto each slice, covering the bread all the way to the crusts to create a moisture seal.
  3. Apply fruit preserves to only one of the peanut-butter-coated slices, concentrating the filling in the center and leaving a 1/2-inch border of peanut butter around the edges.
  4. Sprinkle chia seeds and drizzle honey over the filling for added texture and flavor.
  5. Invert the second slice of bread onto the filling and press down firmly but gently to bond the layers.
  6. Slice the sandwich diagonally and wrap tightly in parchment paper.
