Ingredients:

  • 1 can (16 oz) refrigerated pizza dough
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 3/4 cup thick pizza sauce
  • 1 1/2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 24 mini pepperoni slices
  • 1 tbsp melted butter
  • 1/4 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 pinch dried oregano

Instructions:

  1. Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C) and lightly grease each cup of a standard 12-cup muffin tin with olive oil.
  2. Divide the refrigerated pizza dough into 12 equal pieces. Press each piece into the bottom and up the sides of the muffin cups, ensuring the dough is thin and evenly distributed.
  3. Place a small pinch of mozzarella cheese at the bottom of each dough cup to create a moisture barrier.
  4. Spoon 1 tablespoon of thick pizza sauce over the cheese in each cup.
  5. Fill the remaining space with shredded mozzarella cheese and top each muffin with two mini pepperoni slices, pressing them slightly into the cheese.
  6. Bake for 15-20 minutes until the crust edges are mahogany-colored and the cheese is bubbling.
  7. Whisk together melted butter, garlic powder, and dried oregano. Brush the mixture over the exposed crust edges while the muffins are still hot.
