Ingredients:
- 1 box (3 oz / 85g) Strawberry Jell-O (or other strawberry-flavored gelatin dessert)
- 1 cup (240 ml) Boiling Water
- ½ cup (120 ml) Cold Water
- ½ cup (120 ml) White Rum (can use flavored rum for extra punch!)
- Fresh strawberries, sliced (Optional)
- Whipped cream (Optional)
- Lime wedges (Optional)
Instructions:
- Bring water to a rolling boil in a saucepan.
- Remove from heat. Add the strawberry Jell-O powder to the boiling water and whisk until completely dissolved (about 2 minutes). Make sure no granules are left!
- Stir in the cold water and rum. Mix well.
- Carefully pour the Jell-O mixture into individual cups or shot glasses, filling each nearly to the top.
- Cover the cups loosely with cling film (optional) and refrigerate for at least 3-4 hours, or preferably overnight, until fully set. They should be firm and jiggly.
- Garnish with sliced strawberries, whipped cream, and a lime wedge (optional) before serving. Jello shots time!
- Make sure to wash the saucepan.
