Ingredients:
- 2 cans (14.5 ounces/411g each) cut green beans, drained (or 1.5 pounds/680g fresh green beans, trimmed and blanched)
- 1 can (10.75 ounces/305g) condensed cream of mushroom soup
- ½ cup (120ml) milk (whole or 2%)
- 1 teaspoon (5ml) soy sauce
- ¼ teaspoon (1.25ml) ground black pepper
- ½ teaspoon (2.5ml) garlic powder
- 1 ¼ cups (approx. 115g) French's® Crispy Fried Onions, divided
Instructions:
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- If using canned green beans, drain thoroughly. If using fresh, blanch them in boiling water for 3 minutes, then drain and shock in ice water.
- In the large mixing bowl, combine the green beans, cream of mushroom soup, milk, soy sauce, pepper, and garlic powder. Stir well to combine.
- Pour the mixture into the prepared baking dish and spread evenly.
- Sprinkle about ¾ cup (approx. 70g) of the French's® Crispy Fried Onions evenly over the casserole.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 20 minutes, or until the casserole is bubbly and heated through.
- Remove the casserole from the oven and sprinkle the remaining ½ cup (approx. 45g) of French's® Crispy Fried Onions over the top.
- Return the casserole to the oven and bake for an additional 10 minutes, or until the onions are golden brown and crispy.
- Let the casserole cool for a few minutes before serving.
