Ingredients:

  • 4 English muffins, split in half
  • 1/2 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tbsp melted butter
  • 1/2 cup pizza sauce
  • 1 1/2 cups shredded low-moisture mozzarella cheese
  • 1/2 tsp dried oregano

Instructions:

  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C) or your air fryer to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Toast the English muffin halves in a toaster until they are lightly golden. Note: Don't over toast or they'll burn in the oven.
  3. Brush the hot, toasted surfaces with melted butter.
  4. Sprinkle garlic powder evenly over the buttered surfaces.
  5. Spread 1 tablespoon of pizza sauce across each half, leaving a small margin at the edge. Note: This prevents the sauce from bubbling over and burning.
  6. Top each muffin with a generous handful of shredded mozzarella cheese.
  7. Sprinkle a pinch of dried oregano over the cheese.
  8. Bake in the oven for 7-10 minutes until the cheese is bubbling and golden brown. For the air fryer, go 5-7 minutes.
  9. Remove from heat and let them sit for 2 minutes. Note: This lets the cheese set so it doesn't slide off when you bite in.
