Ingredients:
- 1 cup (125g) All-Purpose Flour
- 1 cup (240ml) Water
- 1/2 cup (113g) Unsalted Butter, cut into cubes
- 1/4 teaspoon Salt
- 1 teaspoon Vanilla Extract
- 3 Large Eggs
- 1/2 cup (100g) Granulated Sugar
- 2 tablespoons Ground Cinnamon
- 2 tablespoons Melted Butter, for brushing (optional)
Instructions:
- In a saucepan, combine water, butter, and salt. Bring to a boil over medium heat, stirring until butter is melted.
- Remove from heat and add the flour all at once. Stir vigorously until a smooth dough forms and pulls away from the sides of the pan.
- Let the dough cool slightly (about 5 minutes). Add vanilla extract. Then, add the eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition until the dough is smooth and glossy.
- Transfer the dough to a piping bag fitted with a star tip (or use a Ziploc bag with the corner snipped). Pipe small mounds (about 1-inch in diameter) onto a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
- Bake in a preheated oven at 375°F (190°C) for 12-15 minutes, or until golden brown.
- While the churro bites are baking, combine the sugar and cinnamon in a shallow bowl. If using melted butter, place in separate bowl.
- Brush baked bites with melted butter then roll in the cinnamon sugar mixture immediately after baking. Serve warm and enjoy!
