Ingredients:
- 1 cup (120g) all-purpose flour
- ½ cup (45g) unsweetened cocoa powder
- ½ teaspoon baking powder
- ¼ teaspoon salt
- ½ cup (113g) unsalted butter, melted and slightly cooled
- 1 cup (200g) granulated sugar
- 2 large eggs
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- ½ cup (85g) semi-sweet chocolate chips or chunks
Instructions:
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or a silicone baking mat.
- In a large bowl, whisk together the flour, cocoa powder, baking powder, and salt.
- In a separate bowl, whisk together the melted butter and sugar until well combined. Beat in the eggs one at a time, then stir in the vanilla extract.
- Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, mixing until just combined. Be careful not to overmix!
- Fold in the chocolate chips or chunks.
- Use a cookie scoop (or a spoon) to drop rounded tablespoons of dough onto the prepared baking sheet, leaving some space between each cookie.
- Bake for 10-12 minutes, or until the edges are set and the centers are slightly soft.
- Let the cookies cool on the baking sheet for a few minutes before transferring them to a wire rack to cool completely.
