Ingredients:

  • 4 slices (120g) whole grain bread
  • 2 tbsp (30ml) unsalted butter
  • 4 oz (115g) sliced deli turkey
  • 2 slices (40g) mild cheddar cheese
  • 2 leaves (10g) spinach
  • 2 small (5g) black olives
  • 1 medium (30g) carrot, julienned
  • 1 cup (30g) broccoli florets

Instructions:

  1. Apply a thin, even layer of butter to the inner side of every bread slice to create a moisture barrier.
  2. Layer the sliced deli turkey and cheddar cheese centrally on the bread, leaving a small margin around the edges.
  3. Top with spinach leaves and close the sandwich firmly.
  4. Place the dinosaur-shaped cutter in the center of the sandwich and apply quick, firm downward pressure to slice through both layers.
  5. Transfer the dinosaur sandwich to a bento box.
  6. Place sliced olives on the head for eyes and arrange julienned carrots and broccoli florets around the sandwich to create a prehistoric landscape.
