Ingredients:

  • 4 frozen hash brown patties
  • 1 tsp high-heat oil (such as olive oil or avocado oil) dispensed via spray or brush, total
  • Salt and freshly ground black pepper, to taste

Instructions:

  1. Preheat the air fryer to 400°F (200°C) for at least 3 minutes to ensure even cooking.
  2. Lightly brush or mist both sides of the frozen hash brown patties with oil. A thin sheen is sufficient. Season lightly with salt and pepper.
  3. Place the patties in a single layer in the air fryer basket. Ensure there is no overlap to allow air circulation (work in batches if necessary).
  4. Air fry for 7 minutes. Open the basket, flip the patties, and continue cooking.
  5. Air fry for an additional 8 minutes, or until the patties are deeply golden brown and have achieved the desired crispy exterior.
  6. Remove the hash browns immediately from the air fryer and serve hot. Season generously with additional salt if desired.
