Ingredients:
- 8 oz (225g) Philadelphia Cream Cheese, softened to room temperature
- 8 oz (225g) Full-fat sour cream
- 1 packet (1 oz / 28g) Taco seasoning
- 1 tsp (5ml) Fresh lime juice
- 8 oz (225g) Lean ground beef (90/10)
- ½ tsp (2.5g) Salt
- ¼ tsp (1.25g) Black pepper
- 1 cup (115g) Sharp Cheddar cheese, shredded
- ½ cup (75g) Roma tomatoes, finely diced
- ¼ cup (35g) Red onion, finely minced
- 2 tbsp (15g) Fresh cilantro, chopped
- 2 tbsp (30g) Sliced black olives
Instructions:
- Brown the ground beef in a skillet over medium-high heat until no pink remains. Season with salt and pepper.
- Transfer the beef to a fine-mesh strainer and pat dry with paper towels to remove excess grease.
- In a mixing bowl, beat the softened cream cheese and sour cream using a silicone spatula or hand mixer until the texture is velvety and smooth.
- Fold in the taco seasoning and lime juice, stirring until the color is uniform.
- Spread the cream cheese mixture into the bottom of a 9-inch shallow serving dish, smoothing the top.
- Spread the cooked, drained beef in an even layer over the cream base.
- Top the beef layer with shredded cheddar cheese.
- Scatter the diced tomatoes, red onion, olives, and chopped cilantro over the cheese, pressing down lightly to adhere.
