Ingredients:
- 4 oz cream cheese, softened
- 2 tbsp mayonnaise
- 1 cup sharp cheddar cheese, shredded
- 1/2 cup mozzarella cheese, shredded
- 1/4 tsp garlic powder
- 8 slices white bread
- 4 tbsp unsalted butter, softened
Instructions:
- In a medium mixing bowl, combine the softened cream cheese and mayonnaise. Stir until smooth.
- Fold in the shredded cheddar, mozzarella, and garlic powder until the shredded cheeses are evenly coated in the cream cheese mixture.
- Lay out the bread slices. Scoop a generous tablespoon of the cheese blend onto four slices, spreading it evenly from edge to edge. Top with the remaining bread slices.
- Liberally spread softened butter on the exterior sides of each sandwich, ensuring full coverage.
- Heat a skillet over medium-low heat. Place the sandwiches in the pan and cook for 3–4 minutes per side until a mahogany-colored, uniform crust forms and the interior is molten.
