Ingredients:

  • 4 oz cream cheese, softened
  • 2 tbsp mayonnaise
  • 1 cup sharp cheddar cheese, shredded
  • 1/2 cup mozzarella cheese, shredded
  • 1/4 tsp garlic powder
  • 8 slices white bread
  • 4 tbsp unsalted butter, softened

Instructions:

  1. In a medium mixing bowl, combine the softened cream cheese and mayonnaise. Stir until smooth.
  2. Fold in the shredded cheddar, mozzarella, and garlic powder until the shredded cheeses are evenly coated in the cream cheese mixture.
  3. Lay out the bread slices. Scoop a generous tablespoon of the cheese blend onto four slices, spreading it evenly from edge to edge. Top with the remaining bread slices.
  4. Liberally spread softened butter on the exterior sides of each sandwich, ensuring full coverage.
  5. Heat a skillet over medium-low heat. Place the sandwiches in the pan and cook for 3–4 minutes per side until a mahogany-colored, uniform crust forms and the interior is molten.
