Ingredients:
- 3 lbs country-style pork ribs
- 1/2 cup brown sugar, packed
- 2 tbsp smoked paprika
- 1 tbsp garlic powder
- 1 tbsp onion powder
- 1 tsp ground mustard
- 1 tsp kosher salt
- 1/2 tsp black pepper
- 1/4 tsp cayenne pepper
- 1 cup BBQ sauce
- 2 tbsp apple cider vinegar
- 1 tbsp honey
Instructions:
- Preheat your oven to 300°F (150°C). Pat the ribs dry with paper towels. In a small bowl, whisk together the brown sugar, smoked paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, ground mustard, salt, black pepper, and cayenne pepper.
- Generously coat every side of the ribs with the rub, pressing it into the meat.
- Line a baking sheet with foil and place a wire rack on top. Arrange the ribs on the rack without crowding. Cover the pan tightly with another layer of foil, crimping the edges to create a steam-tight seal.
- Bake for 2.5 to 3 hours until the meat is very tender when pierced with a fork (internal temperature of 195°F–205°F).
- Remove from oven and discard the top foil. Whisk together BBQ sauce, apple cider vinegar, and honey. Brush a thick layer of the glaze over the ribs.
- Increase oven temperature to 425°F (220°C). Return ribs to the oven uncovered for 10–15 minutes until the sauce is bubbly and slightly charred.
- Let the ribs rest for 5–10 minutes before serving.
