Ingredients:

  • 3 lbs country-style pork ribs
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar, packed
  • 2 tbsp smoked paprika
  • 1 tbsp garlic powder
  • 1 tbsp onion powder
  • 1 tsp ground mustard
  • 1 tsp kosher salt
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper
  • 1/4 tsp cayenne pepper
  • 1 cup BBQ sauce
  • 2 tbsp apple cider vinegar
  • 1 tbsp honey

Instructions:

  1. Preheat your oven to 300°F (150°C). Pat the ribs dry with paper towels. In a small bowl, whisk together the brown sugar, smoked paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, ground mustard, salt, black pepper, and cayenne pepper.
  2. Generously coat every side of the ribs with the rub, pressing it into the meat.
  3. Line a baking sheet with foil and place a wire rack on top. Arrange the ribs on the rack without crowding. Cover the pan tightly with another layer of foil, crimping the edges to create a steam-tight seal.
  4. Bake for 2.5 to 3 hours until the meat is very tender when pierced with a fork (internal temperature of 195°F–205°F).
  5. Remove from oven and discard the top foil. Whisk together BBQ sauce, apple cider vinegar, and honey. Brush a thick layer of the glaze over the ribs.
  6. Increase oven temperature to 425°F (220°C). Return ribs to the oven uncovered for 10–15 minutes until the sauce is bubbly and slightly charred.
  7. Let the ribs rest for 5–10 minutes before serving.
