Ingredients:

  • 4 (approx. 6 oz / 170g each) Salmon Fillets
  • 1 Tbsp Olive Oil
  • Kosher Salt & Freshly Ground Black Pepper, to taste
  • 1/2 cup Unsalted Butter, softened
  • 3 cloves Garlic, minced
  • 2 Tbsp Fresh Parsley, finely chopped
  • 1 tsp Dried Thyme
  • 1 tsp Paprika
  • 1/2 tsp Onion Powder
  • 1 Tbsp Brown Sugar, packed
  • 1 tsp Fresh Lemon Juice

Instructions:

  1. Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or foil.
  2. Prepare the Compound Butter: In a small bowl, combine the softened butter, minced garlic, parsley, thyme, paprika, onion powder, brown sugar, and lemon juice. Mix thoroughly until uniform.
  3. Season Salmon: Pat the salmon fillets very dry using paper towels. Place them on the prepared baking sheet. Lightly brush the fillets with olive oil and season sparingly with salt and pepper.
  4. Apply Topping: Generously spread an equal amount of the herb butter mixture over the top surface of each salmon fillet, creating a nice thick crust.
  5. Bake: Place the baking sheet in the preheated oven. Bake for 12–15 minutes.
  6. Check Doneness: Salmon is done when it flakes easily with a fork, or reaches an internal temperature of 140°F–145°F (60°C–63°C).
  7. Rest & Serve: Remove from the oven and let rest for 2 minutes before serving immediately.
