- 1/4 cup (60g) plain Greek yogurt (or non-dairy yogurt)
- 1 tablespoon (15ml) maple syrup (or honey)
- 1/4 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- 1 tablespoon (12g) brown sugar (packed)
- Pinch of salt
- 2 tablespoons (30g) cream cheese, softened (or dairy-free cream cheese alternative)
- 1 tablespoon (15ml) milk (dairy or non-dairy)
- 1 tablespoon (8g) powdered sugar (optional)
Instructions:
- In a mason jar, combine the rolled oats, milk, yogurt, maple syrup, and vanilla extract.
- Stir in the ground cinnamon, brown sugar, and salt until well combined. Ensure everything is evenly distributed.
- Stir the mixture well to ensure all ingredients are incorporated.
- Cover the jar tightly and refrigerate for at least 6-8 hours, or overnight. This allows the oats to soften and absorb the flavors.
- In a small bowl, whisk together the softened cream cheese, milk, and powdered sugar (if using) until smooth and creamy.
- In the morning, stir the overnight oats. Top with the optional cream cheese icing and any additional toppings (nuts, fruit, etc.). Enjoy cold!
