  • 1 tablespoon (15ml) maple syrup (or honey)
  • 1/4 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1 tablespoon (12g) brown sugar (packed)
  • Pinch of salt
  • 2 tablespoons (30g) cream cheese, softened (or dairy-free cream cheese alternative)
  • 1 tablespoon (15ml) milk (dairy or non-dairy)
  • 1 tablespoon (8g) powdered sugar (optional)

Instructions:

  1. In a mason jar, combine the rolled oats, milk, yogurt, maple syrup, and vanilla extract.
  2. Stir in the ground cinnamon, brown sugar, and salt until well combined. Ensure everything is evenly distributed.
  3. Stir the mixture well to ensure all ingredients are incorporated.
  4. Cover the jar tightly and refrigerate for at least 6-8 hours, or overnight. This allows the oats to soften and absorb the flavors.
  5. In a small bowl, whisk together the softened cream cheese, milk, and powdered sugar (if using) until smooth and creamy.
  6. In the morning, stir the overnight oats. Top with the optional cream cheese icing and any additional toppings (nuts, fruit, etc.). Enjoy cold!
