Ingredients:
- 500g Air-Dry Clay
- Acrylic paint (variety of colors)
- Water based varnish or sealer
- Acrylic paint pens (various colors, fine tip)
- Stamps (optional)
- String, twine, or jute (optional)
Instructions:
- Cover your work surface with parchment paper.
- Knead the air-dry clay until soft and pliable.
- Roll out the clay to approximately ¼ inch (0.6 cm) thickness.
- Use cookie cutters to create shapes or freehand cut with a knife or tool.
- Press stamps into the clay or add texture with tools (optional).
- Write plant names onto the markers using a sharp tool or acrylic paint pens.
- Create a hole at the top of the marker for hanging (optional).
- Place the markers on a baking sheet and allow them to air dry completely for 24-72 hours, turning them over periodically.
- Once dry, gently sand any rough edges with fine-grit sandpaper (optional).
- Paint the markers with acrylic paint and let them dry completely.
- Apply a coat of waterproof sealer to protect the markers from the elements. Let dry completely.
- Place the air dry clay garden markers in your garden to label your plants!
