Ingredients:

  • 2 oz gin
  • 0.75 oz fresh lemon juice
  • 0.75 oz honey syrup (equal parts honey and water)
  • 1 lemon twist

Instructions:

  1. Prepare the honey syrup by combining 0.5 oz honey and 0.5 oz warm water. Stir until dissolved and let cool.
  2. Add 2 oz gin, 0.75 oz fresh lemon juice, and 0.75 oz of the prepared honey syrup into a cocktail shaker.
  3. Fill the shaker with large ice cubes until the tin is three quarters full. Secure the lid and shake vigorously for 12–15 seconds until the shaker is frost-bitten and cold.
  4. Double strain the mixture through a Hawthorne strainer and a fine-mesh sieve into a chilled coupe or Nick & Nora glass.
  5. Express a lemon peel over the glass to release aromatic oils and garnish with a lemon twist.
