Ingredients:
- 3 medium apples (Honeycrisp, Gala, or Fuji), cored and thinly sliced (approximately 450g)
- 1 tablespoon lemon juice (15 ml)
- 1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips (170g)
- 1 tablespoon coconut oil (15 ml)
- 1/2 cup caramel sauce (store-bought or homemade) (120 ml)
- 1/4 cup peanut butter (60 ml)
- 1 tablespoon milk (15 ml)
- 1/4 cup chopped pecans or walnuts (30g)
- 1/4 cup shredded coconut (20g)
- 1/4 cup mini chocolate chips (40g)
- 1/4 cup toffee bits (30g)
- Sprinkles (optional)
Instructions:
- Toss apple slices with lemon juice to prevent browning. Arrange on a platter or baking sheet.
- Melt chocolate chips and coconut oil in the microwave in 30-second intervals, stirring in between, or in a double boiler, until smooth.
- In a microwave-safe bowl, heat the peanut butter with milk for 15 seconds, stirring until a smooth drizzle forms. Add more milk if needed.
- Drizzle the melted chocolate, caramel sauce, and peanut butter over the apple slices.
- Sprinkle with your choice of toppings (nuts, coconut, mini chocolate chips, toffee bits, sprinkles).
- If desired, chill for a few minutes to help the chocolate set.
- Enjoy immediately!
