Ingredients:

  • 3 medium apples (Honeycrisp, Gala, or Fuji), cored and thinly sliced (approximately 450g)
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice (15 ml)
  • 1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips (170g)
  • 1 tablespoon coconut oil (15 ml)
  • 1/2 cup caramel sauce (store-bought or homemade) (120 ml)
  • 1/4 cup peanut butter (60 ml)
  • 1 tablespoon milk (15 ml)
  • 1/4 cup chopped pecans or walnuts (30g)
  • 1/4 cup shredded coconut (20g)
  • 1/4 cup mini chocolate chips (40g)
  • 1/4 cup toffee bits (30g)
  • Sprinkles (optional)

Instructions:

  1. Toss apple slices with lemon juice to prevent browning. Arrange on a platter or baking sheet.
  2. Melt chocolate chips and coconut oil in the microwave in 30-second intervals, stirring in between, or in a double boiler, until smooth.
  3. In a microwave-safe bowl, heat the peanut butter with milk for 15 seconds, stirring until a smooth drizzle forms. Add more milk if needed.
  4. Drizzle the melted chocolate, caramel sauce, and peanut butter over the apple slices.
  5. Sprinkle with your choice of toppings (nuts, coconut, mini chocolate chips, toffee bits, sprinkles).
  6. If desired, chill for a few minutes to help the chocolate set.
  7. Enjoy immediately!
