  • 4 cups beef broth, low sodium preferred
  • 1 cup water
  • 2 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 tablespoon soy sauce
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • ½ teaspoon dried thyme
  • ½ teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 bay leaf
  • 1 (12-count) package King’s Hawaiian Sweet Rolls
  • 1 pound thinly sliced roast beef
  • 6 ounces provolone cheese, sliced
  • 2 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted
  • 1 teaspoon Dijon mustard
  • Sesame seeds for topping (optional)

Instructions:

  1. In a large saucepan, combine beef broth, water, Worcestershire sauce, soy sauce, onion powder, garlic powder, thyme, pepper, and bay leaf. Bring to a simmer over medium heat. Reduce heat to low and simmer for at least 15 minutes. Remove bay leaf.
  2. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Slice the King’s Hawaiian rolls horizontally.
  3. Spread half of the provolone cheese evenly over the bottom layer of the rolls. Top with roast beef and the remaining provolone cheese.
  4. In a small bowl, combine the melted butter and Dijon mustard.
  5. Place the top layer of rolls over the cheese and roast beef. Brush with the butter-Dijon mixture. Sprinkle with sesame seeds (optional).
  6. Cover with foil and bake for 15 minutes. Remove foil and bake for 5-10 minutes, until cheese is melted and rolls are golden brown.
  7. Slice the kings hawaiian french dip sliders apart and serve with warm au jus.
