Ingredients:
- 4 cups beef broth, low sodium preferred
- 1 cup water
- 2 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce
- 1 tablespoon soy sauce
- 1 teaspoon onion powder
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- ½ teaspoon dried thyme
- ½ teaspoon black pepper
- 1 bay leaf
- 1 (12-count) package King’s Hawaiian Sweet Rolls
- 1 pound thinly sliced roast beef
- 6 ounces provolone cheese, sliced
- 2 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted
- 1 teaspoon Dijon mustard
- Sesame seeds for topping (optional)
Instructions:
- In a large saucepan, combine beef broth, water, Worcestershire sauce, soy sauce, onion powder, garlic powder, thyme, pepper, and bay leaf. Bring to a simmer over medium heat. Reduce heat to low and simmer for at least 15 minutes. Remove bay leaf.
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Slice the King’s Hawaiian rolls horizontally.
- Spread half of the provolone cheese evenly over the bottom layer of the rolls. Top with roast beef and the remaining provolone cheese.
- In a small bowl, combine the melted butter and Dijon mustard.
- Place the top layer of rolls over the cheese and roast beef. Brush with the butter-Dijon mixture. Sprinkle with sesame seeds (optional).
- Cover with foil and bake for 15 minutes. Remove foil and bake for 5-10 minutes, until cheese is melted and rolls are golden brown.
- Slice the kings hawaiian french dip sliders apart and serve with warm au jus.
