Instructions:

  1. Preheat your air fryer to 400°F (200°C) for 3–5 minutes to ensure a hot surface immediately.
  2. Place the tater tots into the basket in a single layer, ensuring there is space between them to allow for proper air circulation.
  3. Air fry at 400°F for 7 minutes until the surface begins to set and develop a toasted aroma.
  4. Open the basket and give it a vigorous shake or use tongs to flip the tots, redistributing the heat for uniform browning.
  5. Cook for an additional 5–8 minutes until the tots reach a deep golden-brown color and feel firm.
  6. Transfer the hot tots to a bowl immediately and toss with sea salt while the residual surface heat allows the seasoning to adhere.
