Ingredients:

  • 2 lbs chicken wings
  • 1 tbsp baking powder
  • 1/2 tsp kosher salt
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper
  • 1/2 tsp garlic powder
  • 3 tbsp unsalted butter, melted
  • 1/4 cup Buffalo hot sauce
  • 1 tsp apple cider vinegar

Instructions:

  1. Pat the chicken wings completely dry using paper towels to remove surface moisture. Note: Any dampness will steam the wing
  2. In a large bowl, toss the wings with baking powder, salt, pepper, and garlic powder until evenly coated, ensuring the powder is worked into the skin.
  3. Arrange the wings in the air fryer basket in a single layer without overlapping.
  4. Air fry at 400°F (200°C) for 10 minutes until the skin starts to tighten and pale gold.
  5. Flip each wing with tongs.
  6. Cook for an additional 10 minutes until mahogany colored and firm to the touch.
  7. In a separate bowl, combine melted butter, Buffalo hot sauce, and apple cider vinegar.
  8. Transfer hot wings to a clean bowl, pour over the sauce mixture, and toss rapidly to coat before serving immediately.
