Ingredients:

  • 1.5 lb boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 tsp kosher salt
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp smoked paprika
  • 1/2 tsp cracked black pepper
  • 1/2 tsp dried oregano

Instructions:

  1. Pat the chicken breasts completely dry with paper towels. Note: Excess water creates steam, which prevents browning
  2. Rub each breast with olive oil, ensuring every nook and cranny is covered.
  3. Mix the salt, garlic powder, smoked paprika, black pepper, and dried oregano in a small bowl.
  4. Dredge the chicken in the seasoning blend, pressing the spices firmly into the meat with your palms.
  5. Preheat the air fryer to 375°F (190°C). Note: Preheating ensures the sear starts the second the meat hits the basket
  6. Place the chicken breasts in the basket in a single layer. Ensure they do not touch.
  7. Air fry for 10 minutes.
  8. Flip the chicken using tongs.
  9. Cook for another 8-12 minutes until the internal temperature reaches 160°F (71°C).
  10. Transfer the meat to a plate and cover loosely with foil. Let it rest for 5-8 minutes.
